 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they govern our sale of products from this site.  If you do not agree to them please do not use this site. 


1.         Who we are

 

            We are Door Stores Online, the trading name of Door Stores (Swindon) Limited a company registered in England under number 5887116.  Our address is Unit 2270C Dunbeath Road, Elgin Industrial Estate, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 8EA, United Kingdom.  Our VAT registration number is 904143852.  This contract is for the supply and delivery of the doors and other products specified in your order.  We have tried to make these terms as easy as possible to understand.

 

2.         Delivery

 

            We will try to deliver what you have ordered as soon as possible usually within 28 days, but delivery time cannot be guaranteed.  If delivery is likely to be made after 28 days we will contact you and ask you to confirm that you still wish your order to proceed. If a delivery date is confirmed prior to delivery either by telephone or e-mail, any alteration to the delivery date once loaded on to a vehicle will be chargable .

 

3.         Appearance and description

 

3.1       We have tried to make our website as accurate as possible.  However, the images displayed on our website are illustrative only.  Furthermore, the actual product delivered may differ from that ordered in some minor respects.  All products are subject to availability.  All measurements given are approximate and products displayed may not be the actual size stated.  The colours shown are as close as the system allows them to be.  Prices quoted are firm for 30 days.

3.2       Any fault within a glass pane or glazed unit which is not visible without having to look at the glass from unusual angles or which only shows up in sunlight when viewed from a distance of a minimum 3 metres are deemed to be acceptable, (this conforms to British Standards).

4.         Payment

 

4.1       All prices shown are in pounds sterling and Exclude VAT. Payment must be enclosed with your order.  Payment can be by personal cheque drawn on a UK bank and must be crossed "A/C payee only" if not already so crossed.  Payment may also be made by debit, credit or charge card .  We use a secure gateway to collect your credit card details.  The information that you send to us about payment is encrypted and passed to our bank on a separate link. 

 

4.2       A deposit may be required where products are to be altered or are not in stock.  Once the products have been altered the deposit will not be returned should the order be cancelled by you.

 

4.3       Products may be returned to stock by business customers at our discretion only.  A restocking fee of 30% of the cost of those products will be charged for products returned through no fault of ours.  No refund will be given for the delivery charge element of the invoice for such products.

 

4.4       All products remain our property until paid for in full by you.     

 

5.         Acceptance of your order

 

            At the end of the order process on this website you will be shown the final amount and asked to confirm your order before it is sent to us.  We will confirm receipt of your order and availability of stock by email.  Your order will be accepted by us only when we email you specific acceptance of your order.  We will then prepare your order for despatch.  If you need to make any changes, please contact us as soon as possible.  Delivery is to UK credit/debit/charge card billing addresses only.  Should the products you have ordered for any reason become unavailable, we reserve the right to offer you products of an equivalent or better value.  As part of our continuing service to you we have established a helpline.  It can be contacted between 9.00 and 5.00pm Monday to Friday on the following number 01793 610396.

 

6.         Your right to cancel (consumers only)

 

            If you are a consumer (ie not buying in the course of business) you have a right to cancel your order at any time up to seven working days from the day after your receipt of the door or other products.  Please note that this right does not apply to doors or other products made to your specification (including various non-standard finishes or colours chosen) or which are clearly personalised.  In the event of cancellation by you, the products must be returned to us at your expense in perfect condition with its original packaging and paperwork related to the original sale.  You may cancel your order by sending or delivering us a letter, by post, fax or e-mail.  We cannot accept cancellations by phone unless these are confirmed by any of the methods just specified.

 

7.         Damaged Doors or other products (all customers)

 

7.1       When the door or other products are delivered to you please check carefully that they and their packaging are in good condition.  If there are any signs of damage please mark the delivery note accordingly (as otherwise it can affect our claim against our carriers).  In the unlikely event that the products have been damaged in transit, you must tell us in writing and either send us a picture or provide other evidence of the damage.  We may offer a partial refund for the damage or replace the damaged products or issue a refund for the products.

 

7.2       Unless otherwise stated, all products are guaranteed for 12 months.  This does not affect your statutory rights.           

 

7.3       No guarantee is given or refund provided for products damaged by the customer.

 

8.         General

 

No third party may rely on any term of the contract between us under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.  These terms and the contract between us shall be governed by English law and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

 

9.         These terms and conditions can be printed by you and will be attached to the email we send you confirming that we have received your order.

 We keep to a minimum the information that we hold about you.  Under no circumstances will we transfer information about you to anyone outside our company.

10. Terms of Guarantee your satisfaction with our service

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the service you receive from us we will offer you a no quibble Fifty pound discount compensation certificate.

11.Discount compensation certificate

To receive a discount compensation certificate you must inform us in writing (e-mail not accepted) of your order details and the reason you are not completely satisfied with our service or product. You must do this within 7 days of receipt of the goods. As part of our continuous improvement and development, your feedback will be reviewed by the Managing Director and he will inform you of the steps we intend to take to ensure such issues do not occur in the future. We will issue you with the discount compensation certificate, which can be used against future orders. This offer is subject to an initial order value of seven hundred and fifty pounds and the certificate may only be used in an order with value exceeding seven hundred and fifty pounds.  This certificate may not be used in conjunction with any other discount certificate. The discount compensation certificate can not be exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to retract this offer at any time.

12.Lowest price

We guarantee that we offer the lowest price. We guarantee if you find the same product at a lower price, we will match that price and offer a further 5% off. This offer can be redeemed before placing the order or within 5 days after placing the order.  We will require you to provide information so that we can verify the validity of the other offer. Typically we will only request that you provide the company name, telephone number, website (if they have one) and their product details. However, we reserve the right to ask you to provide more information (such as a copy of marketing material containing their offer).
